6 Months

I can't believe that Sage is already 6 months old! She has changed so much! This is what she has been up to:

Solids- sometimes she loves them, sometimes she shows no interest!
Rolls over all the time!
Getting really good at sitting on her own
Started to snuggle back
Drool, drool, drool- maybe some teeth soon???
Hair is getting thicker, will it be curly????

She was 5 months old on 26 January.
She is getting so fun:

Laughs and smiles constantly
Recognizes her name
Likes to play hide-n-seek with her blanket or burp rag
Obsessed with her feet
Likes rice cereal :)
Hates sweet potatoes, bananas, and apples :(
Gets really excited when she sees her bottle
Loves her exersaucer
Plays, plays, plays

Solids Aren't So Bad

Miss Sage had her first taste of solid foods this weekend. We tried rice cereal for the first time on Saturday, and she didn't seem to mind it at all. She wasn't super impressed, but she did eat it! She had more today and that went down a lot better. I can't decide if I am going to make her food, or use ready-made. I am worried I won't have enough time to make my own, even though it would be a lot cheaper and a lot healthier. I guess I could always make time! (or ask Justin to make it, lol!)

Growing Up So Fast

Little Miss Sage is growing up so fast! She is starting to laugh a real, belly laugh, complete with a snort! She rolled over during the night this past week. She hasn't done it again, but she is oh so close! She loves her bumbo, playmat, and saucer. We think she is starting to teeth- she has some of the symptoms. We are thinking about trying solids one of these days. We have what we need, but just haven't tackled it yet! She is obsessed with her feet! If she sees them, she either grabs them and holds both of them or tries to eat them! She also constantly covers her face with her burp rag or blanket, and then lays there still- it's pretty cute!

It seems like she has always been a part of our lives! I don't know what we ever did without her!

1st Christmas

Sage had a great 1st Christmas! We were able to make it to all of our Family Christmases! We spent Christmas Eve in Luverne with Justin's parents and then the Siebenahler extended family. Sage was very spoiled! She got a lot of great toys , clothes, and books. Her and Brenn both got American Girl Dolls from Grandma Terri!

Christmas Day morning we went to the DeBates family Christmas. They have to rent the Legion Hall because there are too many people for a house! There are 16 grandchildren/great grandchildren under the age of 10! Sooo many kids! We used to joke that it was our birth control to attend any DeBated family gathering! After lunch, we headed to NoDak and spent the rest of the day at my parents house. Sage was spoiled again! She got an exersaucer from her Uncle Nick, plus more clothes, books, and toys.

Sunday we went to Mass in Cayuga and then to Cliff and Janny's for lunch. My cousin Andy was home from Texas with his son Drew so we had a "meet the cousins" gathering! Monday we headed to Fargo (lots of driving and Sage handled it great!) to spend the afternoon with the Klubben clan.

Sage had her 4 month check right after Christmas. She weighed in at 14 lbs 12 oz and 26.5 inches long. She is still measuring long and lean!

Blizzard!

This weekend's blizzard dumped 21.5 inches on us here in Shakopee! The weather was bad, but it didn't seem like we got that much snow. My parents made the trip Friday night and beat the storm here. By the time we woke up on Saturday, it was snowing pretty good. Our hockey game was postponed until Sunday so we didn't get to go :( I was looking forward to watching Sioux hockey live and Sage really wanted to wear her Sioux dress from Katrina! My parents weren't too bummed about the weather because they were able to spend all their time with Sage.

She is getting so big! She loves to sit up and see what is going on at all times. She is very close to rolling over, but her arms are getting in the way. I can't believe how fast she is growing! I packed away some clothes today that are too small :(

We are all set for Christmas...house decorated, and gifts purchased and wrapped. Next weekend we are going to the Holidazzle parade and to Amma to get Sage's picture taken with Santa.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho...

Back to Work I Go!

Today was my first day back at work with students and Sage's first day at daycare! Things went well for all of us. We all survived! Sage was happy when I picked her up and I was so happy to see her! It'll take me a week or two to get caught up with work, but it was fun to see the kids and my co-workers. Only 3 weeks until Christmas break :)

We are going to the Sioux hockey game in Mankato this weekend. I can't wait! My parents are coming too. Sioux Yeah Yeah!!
