I know I say this every year, but wow, I can't believe summer is almost over! It has been a great summer! Sage is at a fun age and we have had all sorts of adventures- Minnesota Zoo, Children's Museum, Seussical the Musical at Stages Theater, parks, pools, and a week at the lake!
We spent a whole week at the lake with my parents, brothers and cousin Katina. Sage had a blast! She LOVED the beach and the slide. She also loved Grandma and Grandpa like usual. Uncle Nick gained ground in the Favorite Uncle category! He flew in from NYC and spent the whole week at the lake with us. One of Sage's favorite things was pretending to sleep, waking Nick up and then exclaiming, "What happened?". It was too cute! She was even a dare devil and jumped in the lake off of the pontoon. She immediately wanted out of the water. Maybe next summer she will stay in the water.
If anyone is looking for a good book I strongly suggest Gone Girl. I read it at the lake and it is AWESOME!
Sage turns 2 next weekend. I can't believe it! We have had so much fun this summer, it's going to be real tough going back to work. I have been telling her that I will be going back to work soon and she shakes her head and says no :(
Sage's summer milestones:
-talking in sentences/phrases (some of her favorites are Mommy Come, Here You Go, Daddy Working
-independent playing
-talking to/with her toys, so cute!
-swimming in the tub and in her pool
-walking up and down the stairs all on her own (scary for mom)
-putting on her own shoes (which means she wants to wear Crocs and rubber boots in public!)
-Caillou, Caillou and more Caillou
-talks about using her potty chair, but hasn't yet
-hair is getting long and curly and she refuses to have a ponytail, headband, clips, etc
She is no longer a baby and is all toddler!
We are signing up for gymnastics this Fall! I can't wait- I hope she likes it.
What a doll! Sounds like you had a great summer! Boo for work! I am about 1/4 way thru Gone Girl...it isn't grabbing me...should I give it more pages? See ya soon!
